This Sunday the Knight Library will be hosting a Toy Collection Drive for Toys for Tots!

Anyone that brings a NEW, UNWRAPPED, and UNOPENED toy to the door on Sunday will receive FREE COVER for Karaoke Sundays at the Knight Library!

This event will  benefit many local children this Christmas so please inform allyour friends, coworkers, etc., about this great opportunity to give back to the community!

Drink specials are the same as every Sunday:

RED BULL CHARIOT RACE COMES TO ORLANDO
Chariots Designed by Smarticus and Pulled by Gluteus and Maximus

ORLANDO, FL – October 19, 2011 – Red Bull Chariot Race is not your typical toga party.  The inaugural event debuted in Athens, GA but will make its way to Orlando on November 5, 2011 at the Knight Library, located at 12289 University Boulevard. This event celebrates school spirit while mixing in a healthy serving of school rivalry. Teams from University of Central Florida and Full Sail will fight to finish for ultimate bragging rights. Chariot Viewing and People’s choice voting begins at 7:00pm and the racing heats up at 8:30pm.

Those brave enough to take on this courageous voyage will have to play by some rules.  Each team is limited to three members and they must maneuver their human-powered chariot (no horses here) through the designated course at the Knight Library. Teams will race head-to-head in a bracket format competition with the top teams advancing to the finals.  Speed is important, but style counts!  Each team will perform a short skit to woo the crowd prior to the start.  Sound familiar? The event concept is closely alighted with one of the wackiest events around, Red Bull Flugtag; however with Red Bull Chariot Race everyone stays dry.  For more information about and to find out how to apply for Red Bull Chariot Race log-on to www.redbullchariotrace.com.

The team crossing the finish line first will be awarded the coveted Hermes Prize. Teams that are not blessed by the gods with speed shouldn’t fret.  Two additional prizes are bestowed on those with other talents: the Archimedes Award will go to the team that displays the most inventiveness and design, the Greek Spirit Award is handed out to the team with the most creativity, enthusiasm and performance, and finally the people will cast their votes and decide which team is their favorite in the People’s Choice Award.
